Hello Galleta - It sounds your
watermaker is reciving tidal changing feed
water (tempature & salinity spikes) from vessel changing positions, currents, tides, ect...
I say this, as a membrane does not go from making good water online to high salinity due to a small leak, the high salinity
alarm would occure at a restart when off for hours, days... If you were making water and got a feed water spike, colder, more saline water, then you can get a hi salinity
alarm and a week pipe joint starts leaking as it requires more pressure to make design production.
Be aware this Energy Recovery Technology (Clark Pump) is tempermental to sudden temp and salinity spikes in feed water before the
Spectra pressure &
safety cutout can react, or the feed salinity just staying below the cutout, but effecting the membrane product salinity. Being all clean filters, pumps stronk and feed to the clark
pump is free of air! Hope this helps.
