My Spectra Newport has 2 accumulators with a Shrader valve.

How often do you need to check the pressure in the accumulators?

Only if you think your Clark pump is now banging harder than usual when it shifts. These tanks are pre-charged at the factory to 60psi. A standard bike gauge and small hand held pump will work. But normally these are never checked and usually give no problems.

Thanks Tellie. I'll check the pressure and will let you know. Btw, I have two accumulators, but on a friend's Newport watermaker (2018 model) I noticed there is only one instead of two. Do you know why Spectra is not using two anymore?

The Cape Horn Extreme has always come with the standard two accumulator tanks whereas the NewPort400 has always come with just one standard. This is because of the different feed pump set ups used on both systems.
