Spectra Ventura 150 Install on Lagoon 380

Hi All,
I have recently purchased a Spectra Ventura 150 watermaker and when it arrives will be installing on a 2002 Lagoon 380. If anyone has experience of installing the unit either on a Lagoon 380 or another yacht, your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dan

Goto my blog (bottom of post) - 2013/January. You can see my install. Also I'm sure Tellie will chime in here. He's the site expert on Spectra's. The unit works great. It makes more water then I'll probably use........... at first.

BTW, it comes with a complete set of instructions. Read them all the way through before you even start the install. One thing you'll learn is to keep the seacock closed when not in use, or doing filter changes. And I've set up a system to back flush the inlet hose with fresh water for storage.

Re: Spectra Ventura 150 Install on Lagoon 380

Show me ten Lagoon 380s and ten Ventura 150s and I'll show you ten different installs.
There is really no one right place to install this unit on your boat. After installing a lot of these units I find that it will mostly depend on what space your wife will allow.
As Delmarrey states, read the instructions first, allow three to five full days to install it, and use the number below and give me a shout if you need any help with anything that doesn't make sense. Good Luck (954) 515-7077 ask for J.T.

Thanks so much for your very wise words and advice. I will be sure to take my time. That's great that you left me contact details in case I get stuck, hopefully I won't need them but nice to know you guys aren't far away if I do hit a snag.

Thanks Again,

Dan
