Small Fans for Cabins?

I've seen small (3-4'' diam) cabin fans on some boats, but I don't know the make and can't find them anywhere online. Do you know of any?

If not, I might just adopt some computer fans for the job...

Caframo and Hella make most of them. Caframo IMHO is the better brand.

The 747 model puts out a lot of air, but I was slightly disappointed with the Bora.

Thanks, but Bora's 6.25'' in diameter (width). Neither Caframo nor Hella make anything smaller than that (that I've been able to find).

Really hoping to find something smaller than 4'' in 12V.

If you can find a way to mount them, the 4" 12V computer style fans are a better fan and a great bargain at under $20 each. Their cycle life is way beyond the "marine" fans.

I think computer fans are your only option at that size.
The computer fans are very cheap and some are very high quality with ball bearings etc. the air volume is however related to the blade area so a 4 inch won't push out a lot of air, particularly at a slow speed, which is needed to keep the noise down.

I have a Cafrimo 747 cooling me at the moment so it's no trouble to measure any dimension if you want the exact size.

There are a number of computer fans larger than the typical 120mm fan now. You can get them with variable speeds as well to keep the noise down, or buy a separate fan controller for them. The larger they are and the slower they spin, the quieter they will be. I agree that for the money, computer fans are a better buy than "marine" fans. Look on Amazon or Newegg.

...it is a bit rude looking(it was supposed to be just temporary!), but provides a nice bit of air in the bunk without making much noise...120mm 12v fan, two wooden blocks epoxied to the fan case, some thin flat stock aluminum, some screws and a switch...about .1 amps draw...sorry about the dusty appearance, it has been running 24/7 for almost 3 years...

and for those who want a big breeze.... 12v plastic Radiator fans! 8"-15".
Actually a Hella is rated at 130 cfm and a 4.8" chassis fan at about 30% of that.

We've been using Hella 12V Turbos for years. None have given us any trouble.

Yea they are great, I just dont like the price. BTW, In doing the above research for CFM, I found a link for a place to buy Hella replacement motors for $6 each!
