Sensa Tank External Sensor Problem

The display head was sent back and checked out OK

I am getting false readings

The MFR says that Carvers had thick tanks and advised me to sand down mounting areas on tank. Did this on one tank...no joy. I hesitate to grind anymore off...seems like a BS solution to me.

Has anyone else done this?

Could waste clinging to the walls give a false reading?

The level of fuel is read based on Mirus “field-effect” detector cells mounted outside of dielectric substrates, such as polyethylene and Fiberglass tanks up to ½ of an inch thick.
When a conductive mass enters the field, the sensor detects the change and indicates an event has occurred. The input stimulus to the field can take the form of the human finger, sludge, metal or liquid.

The "Sensa" technology works good on pure water, never diesel or gas, and over react on waste tank with cover, urine salts, on the inside tank wall.

My Sensa Tank 100 works great on the holding tank ( and that may be the most important!) but I sanded down a flat spot on the two water tanks for the sensors and get full readings on both wheather full or empty. Technical support from Sensa Tank has not bee very responsive. Would like to know of other experiences with Sensa Tank. The price is great!
