Hi,
a while ago I already introduced our
DIY watermaker project (started 2009 as a 1-membrane unit with a Karcher high pressure washer):
Dido's Watermaker.
Meanwhile it is a 2-membrane-system with a Danfoss APP
pump (AC driven).
Everyone on board has been happy ever after.
The WM has been working now since 2009 without much complaint (our
toilet caused more problems than the WM
).
During the summer TDS-measurements went up from about 200 to some 800 ppm, so I pulled out the membranes (after 5 years being in the vessels) and found that one of the
seals was leaking, due to faulty
installation at the very beginning (my mistake, interesting enough that it did not leak earlier).
So I tried to find a replacement seal here in
Europe. If the shops here answered my inquiries at all the answer was: "Seals are not available. You rather may buy a new membrane." This is not only annoying, it is also expensive as they charge at least the double
price for membranes here, compared to the US.
My question is: Does anyone know a supplier where I might get such a seal? May it be in
Europe or the US.
I am happy about any recommendation.
