Raritan head phii will not flush

This is what I have done: After rebuilding three times, Installed a new Phii, installed new sanitation hose from head to tank, bypassed y valve, removed filter from vent hose. Still aft head will not flush solids waste. Have used lots of water while attempting to flush. What now?

It will flush liquid? It is not uncommon to switch back and forth from flush to dry to empty solids. If you can empty at all, then you have the joker or flapper backwards or maybe positioned wrong. Do you have handle pressure on the down stroke? More details...

Take a look at the U-tube that holds the siphon break. This is a picture of one I serviced last year, completely blocked by uric acid crystals.

The joker valve is new and installed correctly. The anti siphon valve is clear. Any more ideas would be appreciated.

So how does the hose connect to the holding tank. at the top. have you checked that the tank connection is clear, no dip tube, etc. Also that the holding tank vent is clear at the deck and at the tank. I've had mud wasps build a nest in the vent before...

Re: Raritan head phii will not flush

It was a long process, but it is now working. Main cause boatyards not properly rebuilding head. They did not replace the rubber gasket on the pump piston. Not knowing this initially, when the head did not work we pursued other courses of action, including replacing all waste hoses, and modifying discharge from head with a ninety degree elbow, and ensuring all hoses were clear. We then replaced the ninety degree elbow and returned system to its original configuration. The instructions that come with the rebuild kit do not mention removing the piston and replacing piston ring. This is a omission by the raritan company. I have notified the company. Thanks for your interest and help.
