occasionally (a couple of time a night, which is when we noticed it) but not enough to leave a huge amount of water in the bilge
We eventually found the leak in a remote
area, due to the very small pool of water that was trapped in a corner of that locker. Suggest you trace all piping, starting with the hot system, looking for a similar tell-tale.
Good luck with the detective work!
I had exactly the same problem also near my hot water heater
in hard tubing. Only found the mist because I was doing something else and my hand passed across it and then felt damp.
