Plugged Holding Tank

We have two, 35 gallon holding tanks on our houseboat. There is a 1 1/2 inch outlet at the base of each tank. The tanks are connected together at their bases with 1 1/2 inch hoses, and there is a "T" fitting between the tanks to connect the hoses to an outlet on deck for pumping out. The hose from the head connects to the top of one tank. Both tanks are vented to the same outlet.

One tank is not filling any more. (The one that is not connected to the head.) The hose connecting it to the other tank must be plugged.

I tried attaching an elbow to a piece of hose and lowering it to the bottom of the pump out hose, down to the elbow. This was to force a jet of water into the hose connecting to the second tank. This does not seem to have worked.

I don't want to open the hoses at the base of the tanks for obvious reasons. I have a plumber's snake, but there is no way of telling if it is going down the right hose, and difficult to make it turn the right way.

I have tried muriatic acid too.

I would appreciate suggestions.

Maybe a sh#ty job but, you may have to take it apart. I have done it before and it sucks.

Check the vent first, you may get lucky.
