Norcold SCQT-4407 - does not work on 120 v

Hi everyone,

New problem for an older system - looking for suggestions on how to fix.

Installed is a Norcold SCQT-4407 dual voltage 120 volts AC & 12 volts DC.

It does work on 12 volts and there is 120 volts to the system.

Question: Is there a fuse/breaker/relay inside the unit which can be replaced?

If I have to remove the unit I have to disconnect the copper lines, are these a "one use/one time" connection?

OR

Should I just replace the entire system?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: Norcold SCQT-4407 - does not work on 120 v

Do not disconnect the refrigerant lines. First best way to check 110/12/26 volts transformer failure is by smell. It it is the 110 volt coil in transformer that fails I dough it can be changed without removing electronic unit. There are over 21 different electrical designs on Norcold Swing compressor systems. If you are lucky the electrical is in a separate box that can be purchased from Norcold. There should be a circuit breakers on the outside of electrical box. Generally it it will be the surface corrosion on evaporator that helps determine repair or replacement. Cost of new electrical box is over $300 I think.

Hi and thank you.
This weekend I will be investigating.
From a previous look - I doubt I can remove the metal cover without removing the unit.
