Norcold AC and DC Requirements

Hello:

We have a Norcold 461 that is suppose to operate off of both AC and DC. It works fine with only dc, but dones not work with only AC.

Does anyone know if you also have to have the DC switch on for the unit to operate off of AC?

I have found conflicting information on the internet about this. Some say that DC is still required to operate the circuit board while using AC.

Thanks.
