Multiple Tank Monitoring System

Hello:

I am in the process of servicing my septic holding tanks. I have 2 of them and don't have monitoring sensors. As part of my servicing I want to add sensors. I also have 4 water tanks with no sensors. Scad makes their TM2 (www.scadtech.com) which I like, but it would only handle the septic tanks. I would really like to get all the tanks monitored. Can anyone recommend a good all-in-one monitoring system? Something like the Victron Energy Touch panel would ideal, but I have not found anything like it for tanks.

Re: Multiple Tank Monitoring System

This is what I'm using for the past five or six years. It is similar to the system you mentioned and can handle eight different tanks. The website has not been updated in a number of years but I just ordered a replacement sensor for the black tank. The sensor arrive in just a few days. Within eleven months, and still under warranty, one of the sensors failed and was replaced at no cost to me (besides my labor). The system works great.

Hmmmmm...

I found the PICO BATTERY MONITOR". In addition to monitoring batteries it also monitors tanks levels and loads. Seems pretty neat!

Re: Multiple Tank Monitoring System

I have had the Hart tank tender system on the last two boats. Reliable, accurate, and easy to install.

It seems that this monitors tank temps, not tank levels.

Re: Multiple Tank Monitoring System

The Pico will monitor levels as well as temperatures, currents, voltages etc.

Although it is primarily a battery monitor is a very versatile system. Multiple sets of data can be displayed at once. The temp alarms are particularly useful.

However, I still prefer the reliability of the Tank Tender system for tank levels.

Re: Multiple Tank Monitoring System

I second the suggestion of using the HART Tank Tender monitoring system. It can handle multiple tank combinations of water and waste. I've had mine for over 20 years without a single problem. Easy to install, simple to use and very accurate. JMHO

I use a Pico to monitor our tanks too. Resistive sensors are easy but Dometic holding tack monitoring required a fair bit of hacking.
