Little Wonder Watermaker Rebuild

Before I do my usual thing and break something, I thought I'd do it my wife's way for a change and ask for instructions . I have a LW150 modular unit that needs a pump rebuild - just the titanium head part for now. My problem is that I cant seem to get the HP valve spacer on the outlet side to move so that I can access the valve beneath it. I have a parts diagram, but it does not indicate whether this spacer is just a tight fit or a screw in. Any help appreciated from someone who has done this, - before I haul out the vicegrips and prybar.

Thanks Gord, I'll give it a go, - I just like to get input from as many sources as possible.
