I purchased a secondhand power survivor 40 E, with silt reduction, and extended cruising package. I’m getting ready to install it, and remember coming across a website done by a private individual, that was extremely helpful. This guy had obviously dedicated weeks of effort to making this website, just to share all the knowledge he had on the system. For some reason I am unable to find it now. Anyways, I’m getting ready to install the system on a small sailboat. The man I bought it off of claim to pickle it correctly, and from what I can tell, he did. It’s been sitting for two years now, and I wonder what has dry rotted. Although I have no experience with these, so it could be completely fine. I’ve heard that they can be sent away and rebuilt, does anyone have any experience with this?
