Jabso Par-Max Water Pump growling

Hi all,

I’ve experienced something strange recently with my Par-Max pump.

Previous action: When a tap was used it would run fine, when the tap is closed, the pump would come up to pressure and turn off. It would typically run at a single speed when flow required and until it comes up to pressure

Now: Now it runs at different speeds it seems. If you have the tap open a little vs a lot, it seems the pump runs differently. It seems to ‘growl’ at lower flows (low frequency growl). There’s no issue in the flow itself and everything works fine. Just ‘sounds’ different.

I’m going to take it apart, clean the diaphragm and the connections, but wondering if anyone has experienced this behaviour.
