Jabsco puppy corroded

This pump is used to transfer fuel between tanks. Installed previous season. Has stopped working this week. It is located next to the engine compartment (where it gets hot) and may occasionally be exposed to sea water (if we are pooped at sea, water may drip on the panel where it is located). So yes, this is pump hell, yet bilge pumps survive...

Short of following installation instructions (mount in a dry, well ventilated location), what can be done?
