Identity of this crapper unknown

I think it's an old Jabsco but I don't know.... No identifying stamp or stickers. Any of you plumbers recognize this head? Thank you.

Looks like a Wilcox-Crittenden Headmate. Thetford bought the design and I think parts are still available.

Thank you. I searched for many models trying to find a match but not Wilcox. I appreciate the help, and yes I agree it's a headmate and here is a photo of the rebuild kit I need.

Re: Identity of this crapper unknown

How interesting you should refer to the heads as a Crapper. Capital C of course. Thomas Crapper was a very high class sanitary engineer in London. He installed the plumbing systems in many of the great English stately homes. Near to where I live is a country mansion with cast iron manhole covers (sorry I should say person hole covers) enscribed "Thomas Crapper." Also were the lavatory pans so enscribed, hense the toilet became know as the crapper. Give a wise person instruction and he or she will be yet wiser.

Re: Identity of this crapper unknown

I just did the same for my C&W Newport. I went to the Thetford web site and under marine toilets found the exploded view, parts list, and owner's manual . A huge relief as replacing an electric head is huge money....Holy Crap Batman!

Very very funny...but only about 10% factual. The term "crap"--and hence "Crapper"--was used to mean defacate as far back as 1846. Since Thomas Crapper would have been only 10 years old then, it's unlikely that has name has anything to do with it. During the 1880s, various types of siphonic flush toilets were being patented at the rate of about 20/year...but none by Thomas Crapper. He was, however, a plumber and also made sewer manhole covers, including a couple of which are in the floor inside Westminster Abby.
