Hunter 38 depth water maker

Any advice on which type of water maker would be suitable for a H38 and where to install i? Thanks

Boat type isnt a big consideration, except for installation space. Bigger factors are:

How much output do you need?

Do you want DC or AC driven?

Whats your budget?

The H38 has a space on starboard in front of the galley earmarked for the Fisher Panda generator. Maybe big enough. Otherwise on port under the settee. you have 2 big lockers.
And of course the space at the bottom of the big owners cabin bed on port.

Power is not an issue...DC preferably....running with battery pack.y query is about type of water maker in terms of space and water production....any ideas?

Its a bit like asking "what kind of batteries should I buy?"...or boat or anchor..., with no more data. Cant provide an accurate answer without more info. Sooner or later you will need to answer the basic questions...or wish you had.

In lieu of basic data, two popular options are Spectra and Cruise RO.

Spectra is very efficient 12V driven. That efficiency comes at a hefty price tag.

Cruise RO is AC driven and comes at a much lower price.

Both are good systems...for the right application...whatever that is...

Each has a range of output capacities to meet your needs...once you define them.

Thank you for your prompt reply belizesailor, I have 2 185 Ah batteries and 400W solar panel....thinking about adding another 185 Ah battery for other service such as fridge, freezer, etc. My issue is not the power but the space. I have a bit of it in the bilge frw and, maybe on the cnt stbd side locker under sofa, just fwd of the sink next to the water heater. I can't think of any other space. I also have a/c units so space is of an essence. Again, any ideas?
