How to fix holes in console on lagoon?

Any suggestions on how to cover / fill / patch / fix the holes if something is removed from the console?

If you're desperate, & want to try for a nice finish, sans sanding, you might vacuum bag a layer of cloth onto it. Using a piece of plexiglass or similar pressed onto the glass via the vacuum so that the finish is fair. Mind you this is a theoretical technique, for me anyway. So personally I'd try it on a test item once or twice first.

Otherwise it's easy to buy or make clear finished carbon fiber, or fiberglass plate. And if you use resin pigmented black with E-glass, it looks a fair bit like carbon when cured.

Or you could always go with a nice pretty venner. With or without inlays. And yes, in small quantities I'm a slut for pretty wood.
