How Is The $35 Five Oceans Galley Foot Pump Compared To The $98 Whale Gusher?

I need to buy two galley foot pumps for fresh water only and was wondering if anyone knows how the $35 Five Oceans galley foot pump compares in quality to the $98 Whale Gusher galley foot pump?

I'm hoping the Five Oceans does the job because it would save me $130.

I have never seen the oceans galley pump, but if you have the room and an extra $13 I do recommend the Whale Tip Toe
They sit flush with the sole and don't have the lever to bang your ankles on. We have one each for fresh and salt water and love them.

I've been looking for the Tip Toe dimensions but don't see them anywhere. Do you know the approximate height in inches from the very bottom of the pump and up to where it lays flush with the floor?

Have had one on my boat for going on 6 years, no problems. Haven't seen a rebuild kit which could be an issue if something was to go wrong.

Thank you for the link. That Tip Toe pump won't work for my application because of how tall it is unless I build a raised platform into the side of the cabinet - which I might do. Can you lock the pump into the down position with your foot or do you have to reach down and turn it with your hand?

You can lock it with your foot. Just step down on it and twist.
