How big a water pump?

I just bought a 1978 35ft Columbia. It seems the water pump is dead. A lot of the other items on the boat are dead, too. So, I'm replacing many of them.

I have a full galley and head. The head has a fitting for a shower. What size pressure water pump should I look at? The water tank is in the center of the boat and about 6 feet from the head and galley outlets.

Re: How big a water pump?

The pump is sized to the pressure you want and the flow. Do you want house type showers or low flow showers?

Are all the items really dead or do you have a electrical problem?

Re: How big a water pump?

I have one of these vetus pumps supplying the house system on a live aboard 60fter and it has no issue getting sufficient pressure to the shower on our second deck

The spare I bought is a seaflo brand which is identical apart from the box it came in, sticker on pump and cheaper price.
Seems obvious they come from same factory.

Perhaps its a pressure switch?
Usually a knock with a screwdriver can get them going until next time.
A spray with wd40 makes them work better
A new one is better again and they are cheap if you look online.
