Holding Tank Level Sensor

I'm replacing my holding tank with one from Ronco, and I'm planning to add a sensor of sort to know how full it gets. I'm interested in the sensor only, not the displays, as I want to pull the readings out with custom circuitry or over NEMA2k or some digital readout. I'm looking at 2 products:
  1. SCAD external/foild
  2. BlueSea 1810 (AFAICT it has a voltage based readout)

Currently erring on the BlueSea sensor. Which would you recommend, or any other?

Re: Holding Tank Level Sensor

Another variant is a Maretron ultrasonic level sensor. I guess this is likely to be much more reliable than other variants, and it's NMEA2000 so you can use it with any network MFD.

Or the most KISS, most robust tank level system is the Tank Tender, which has no electronics at all.

Re: Holding Tank Level Sensor

Ive had reasonably good luck with the SCAD monitor but Im using their display. Its not been super accurate but close enough to avoid over filling the tank. No experience with external monitoring via NMEA 2K.
