We've recently had a Zen50
watermaker installed by a professional companies in
France.
The Zen50 is rated to make 50 liter an hour - which it does. The 'normal' sound is makes is as expected; it's constant humming with a 'click' every 4 seconds following from the pumps hitting their limit. All good in that respect.

note: the overall sound levels are very high in the video as the lid of the engine room is open. When you close it; the 'normal' sound of the watermaker is still noticeable when at anchor but not under sail. The weird loud noise if noticeable even when motoring...
However ours also makes a VERY loud hum every now and then. I've already purged the air and went through the restart procedure via the manual. There's no (visible) air in the ducting; strainers etc so it's not sucking air.
The pressure it's operating at is 7 bar which is correct and the watermaker does produce around the 50 liters an our...
Anyone with a similar problem and possibly a fix?
