Head Poll -What Do You Have, satisfied?
This is just a question about the head itself, not holding tank or other systems.
Just thought it would be good to see what everyone has and if they are satisfied or not.

We like the electric, but not the Jasbsco head.
If you have an electic head and sitisfied, I would be interest in knowing the brand.

Re: Head Poll -What Do You Have, satisfied?
I've indicated my satisfaction with my manual Raritan PHII heads (one in each cabin). I listed them as over $200 due to their current price, but I have not replaced these since I found them aboard the boat I have that I bought in 1985. In fact for the 42 years I've lived aboard I've never purchased a head of any type. All three of my boats had Raritans aboard when I bought them and I've never had one that required replacing. I've bought parts, seals and valves, but the toilets themselves hold up well. My current two Raritan heads are each over forty years old.

Re: Head Poll -What Do You Have, satisfied?
Yes, the Raritan manual head seem to be really good. We had one, worked great but switched to composting/desiccating mainly due to odor, which for us was a problem with holding tank and general bad sanitation system design.
Thanks for voting, I'm hoping this can be a resource for folks researching head.

Voted! Love our Airhead composting toilets (2 on two different boats). We still have one manual Jabsco on the guest side. Can't wait to rip it out when we can.

Re: Head Poll -What Do You Have, satisfied?
Went to a Nature's Head last season. Love it so far. Recovered a ton of great storage space without the 25 gallon holding tank. Love not having to worry about pump outs. Works as advertised. Very satisfied.

Re: Head Poll -What Do You Have, satisfied?
like captforce we have the Raritan phII head. Never a problem, I only replace the 30+ year old original with the same thing as it was filthy in new and unimaginable ways, but still worked well. I just dont have stomach to clean up a PO's poo!!

Re: Head Poll -What Do You Have, satisfied?
raritan phII manual. it's 10 years old and i've only replaced one o-ring in all that time. when i bought the boat it was over 20 years old and had the original raritan phII, still working, but i decided to put in a new one for no special reason.
actually, after reading sailmonkey's post, i replaced it for the same reason he did....

Re: Head Poll -What Do You Have, satisfied?
Bog standard Jabsco Jabsco Twist 'n' Lock Manual Toilet .
About five years ago replaced the whole pump assembly .. original was 20 plus years old... simpler and cheaper than buying all the new bits required.
Frd head is a cheapo dutch manual one...crappy piece of kit... I can't make up my mind whether to replace it with a Jabsco or simply make the space into a full time hanging locker. I don't know why she was built with two different models...wierd.
