Have a small fresh water leak to the bilge, should I be bothered too much?

Are your water tanks aluminum or plastic? ours are Al and I am glad I can remove by unscrewing the settee plywood top, as they are 33 years old.

Sounds like you found leak. I imagine a plastic tank would be very unlikely to split or leak except at fittnigs. an Al one could corrode through especially from outside if sitting on damp stringer eg
