Hart Tank Tender

The last Siemens-VDO gauge has died on our Beneteau 49. They were bad from the beginning and had a couple of warranty calls that did not help but now the fuel gauge is gone too. The pneumatic Hart gauges appeal to me and would measure 2 holding tanks, two water tanks and 1 fuel tank. Please relay experiences and alternative (maybe less expensive) options. Thank you.

Tank Tender is an excellent product, trouble free & reliable, and their support is good too. I've had a 4 tank version for about 20 years (across two boats) now with no problems...just some pump maintenance recently.

It is pricey, but you will only make this purchase once.

They are great, backed up with excellent customer service. If used with a holding tank, get the holding tank purge option. It helps keep the dip tube from fouling and clogging.

Ours has been totally reliable, accurate and trouble free. Strongly recommended.

I have heard from cruising friends that there are problems measuring holding tanks. The lumps of solid matter can clog the tube. Ours does not measure the holding tank (the less connection to poo the better is my motto ) so I have no first hand experience.
