Groco Recall

Take a look at your seacocks and see if they are part of this recall:

I'l add my seaocks to the recall list, even though they weren't Groco. They were Marine Hardware Inc ball valves, bought at WMP, and the shaft on one 1 1/4" failed within 2 years. The irony was that I schlepped the valves all the way back to Turkey and didn't buy the cheaper ones there!

Interesting...thanks! I may have at least one of those.

It would be interesting to find out the reason behind the story. Somehow, "Made in China" comes to mind.

I wonder if Groco is also willing to pay for peoples haulout costs to replace those thru-hulls?

I'm sure they won't pay for anything - just replacement parts. To make matters worse, according to that doc they need your old ones before they'll ship the replacements.

I got the notice from Worst marine because their records show I had bought some during my re-fit last year. Great!!! Now I get to loose sleep over this one. Let me guess...They were made in China!
