Good installed TDS meter

Anyone have a source for a good, quality TDS meter to be installed inline with the .25” water output line on a watermaker?
I have one, but it’s a cheap one, I’d like a good quality one, surely one must exist?
I’m lazy and don’t want to take a sample from my bypass line and put it in a glass and use a handheld TDS meter, I’d like a panel mounted one I can just read.

Village marine / Parker makes a salinity meter with automatic diversion valve . Fully adjustable.

I installed one with a cruisero water maker for someone and it seemed really quality.

But too much $$$ for me I think it was around $1500

I’ve been using HM Digital SM-1 for a few years, no problems.

Cheers

Yeah, that is way too much money.
I believe I have the HM digital one, and it’s a very small screen, I was hoping for something with a larger screen and not so plastic.

Spectra makes one, as well, I think. Not sure of the $ though

My apologies for posting a pretty worthlessness response. I mean I “think” and “I’m not sure how much it costs?” Ugh...

So I googled it up and yes, they make one ( EL-SLT-INLPMNT). No quick price, though. I did see one pop up from Bulkreefsupply for $50.

Re: Good installed TDS meter

Hmmm... maybe this is stupid question but: Isn't there a salinity indicator in everybodys mouth? If it tastes salty, it is salty?

Can you taste water and tell me if it is 250, 500 or 750 ppm?

Its not perceptable till about 700-800PPM...which is way too high and not adviseable for frequent human consumption.

I just replaced mine on a Spectra Ventura 150. It was $168, delivered to a harbor where we were going to be. It works well, but it needs to be in a fitting, and - it plugs into a brain (controller).

I would call Spectra or look at them online and see if they make a standalone model and a display for it.
