Frigomar A/C SCU - Noisy Circuit Board Fan
Hello all - we have 48v. Frigomar SCU air conditioning on our catamaran. The units are quiet, cool, and efficient. However, they all have a small fan that appears to cool the circuit board. This fan runs randomly for about a minute at a time at all hours of the day whether the unit is in operation or not. It's quite loud and seemingly has no purpose. Does anyone know if this fan is necessary and can be turned off when the unit is not in operation?
