If you read post 3 again it is quite clear that he is referring to the evaporator fan!

I installed a new Dometic fridge/freezer that worked fine on mains AC power but only intermittant on 12V. Turns out the wires to the battery were too small. Upped the wiring to same as the 150W solar panel and problem fixed. Wire was 4mm from memory.
