Fridge problem

Hi All,

Just fired up our Danfoss after nine months. After ten hours it cycled for 24hrs on 40 degrees . Very happy. Seemed to warm up a bit the next morning so put the sensor closer to the box which I was told wasn't the thing to do. Now it gets colder but won't cycle so we doing it manually every two to three hours to keep it around 40. Advice please?

Re: Fridge problem

I don't think Danfoss makes complete fridges or even kits?

Best to specify the make & model, maybe a link.

Are you saying the compressor is not cycling on and off based on thermostat feedback, but always running flat out?

Is it therefore getting too cold and thus you are running the duty cycling manually?

Or you want to get colder than 40° and it doesn't even at 100% duty cycle?

Is the unit full of contents, even if just water bottles?

The condenser / electronics area, is it getting very hot? is ventilation there to spec?

Re: Fridge problem

Hello,
Suspect the thermostat because as mentioned the fridge only started running on afterer I moved the sensor closer to the box, before it was cycling 20 on and 20 off around 40degrees which is what we want. Re other questions ... Yes to 4, no to 5, yes to 6 and No then yes to 7.
Basically it seems that moving the sensor closer to the box made it stop cycling which doesnt sound right? I was told the closer the sensor to the box the colder thus the quicker it should shut down.

Re: Fridge problem

The numbering bit is just confusing.

What "box" are you talking about?

By sensor if you mean the thermostat call it that.

Are you moving it around inside the fridge or outside?
