Fresh water problem

I have an issue with my fresh water pressure. The jabsco pump does not cut in until there is just a trickle of water coming out of the tap, if it cuts in at all.
I have cleaned the sensor on the pump which may or not have done anything, at least I can get some water now.
I checked the pressure in the accumulator tank, and that was at 25 psi, it did spurt water out of it when I checked it too, not sure if that is normal or not. The forums seem divided on what is actually inside these tanks, a bladder or not.
My thinking is that the sensor is not working properly and I should just swap that over as I do have a spare, yet before I start cutting perfectly good wires, I thought I would ask the forum.

If you have pressure in the tank, but low flow at the tap, then I believe you have a blockage / restriction between the two.
Does your tap have a screen in it?

Our accumulator manual suggests 10 psi is optimum, so you might experiment with different pressure levels.

The accumulator should not leak water through the Schrader valve (according to my Jabsco contact, when I asked them the same question about a month ago). He advised it's time for replacement.

Can't say whether the accumulator issues are the cause of your problem, though. Our Jabsco water pump has its own pressure switch set for 20 psi (ON) and 40 psi (OFF)... no matter what the accumulator contributes.

FWIW, softcopy manuals are available on the Xylem website, if you don't have 'em.

Tap does have a screen on it, yet there are plenty of outlets, all of which have the same problem, so I don't think that is the issue. Thx.
I will go and find those manuals, and thx for the recent jabsco advice re water coming out the pressure valve, maybe it is just a new acc tank.
