Re: Fresh and Sea Water Faucet in One in the Galley Idea ...

Once I had the water maker installed, the problem was using enough water so I could run it often. Thus any need for the salt water faucet was eliminated.....

Re: Fresh and Sea Water Faucet in One in the Galley Idea ...

We are only a 34' so we yanked out one of the 20 gallon tanks for more storage. This leaves us with 50 gallons of water.... we use this up in about a two weeks. The watermaker automatically flushes itself every 7 days, so it still gets used as needed.

Get some water spray bottle you might use on small indoor pot plants and have one at every faucet. Instead of washing your hands, rinsing dishes etc squirt with water from the spray bottle. Your 50 gals will last forever!

At sea have as many showers as you want... As long as the water is from the spray bottles.

Since I was a Great Lakes Sailor and really dislike this salt water stuff, I'm doing my best to lower the salinity of the water around me.
