Empty tank no name

I recently purchased a 1987 hatteras. On the starboard side there is fill for a tank. Possibly a tank for the watermaker? Any input?

What does the hole smell like? Shine a light into the fill tube and see what way it turns and follow from there.

Search Hatteras owners club (Sam's Marine); many there will know the answer.

Re: Empty tank no name

Follow the pipes connected to the "fill'. It might be the heads-tank clean out .
