Dometic VD-150 Evaporator plate makes rumble noise?

Hi,
I just got done installing a Dometic VD-150 evaporator plate and CU-100 Super Cold Machine Compressor/Condenser.
When the CU-100 is operating, I can hear a low rumbling noise coming from the evaporator plate. Is this normal?

Is it cooling correctly?
Short answer is yes the sound you hear is the refrigerant passing through it.

Just got it fired up yesterday afternoon, but it seems to be cooling correctly.
It ran constantly for several hours to bring down the temp in the box. This morning (75 deg in the cabin) was cycling about 7 mins on/15mins off.

As the refrigerant enters the evaporator........it 'boils off'........changing state from a hot liquid to a cold gas........sometimes different sounds are generated depending upon the design..........think of a trombone where air is forced out of a small diameter tube.......has nil effect on the refrigerating ability.......

Yes. The noise you can hear is the evaporator doing its job. The liquid refrigerant is boiling and absorbs heat to to this and that heat comes from the freezer contents via the evaporator plate(s). So the noise you hear is just like you hear when the kettle is boiling, but if you hear a whistle then something has gone seriously wrong!
