Cruiseair System Not Working Right!

I have an older Cruiseair unit with the 3 knob thermostat and and it use to go clugg ggggglllll ggggglllll when I would turn it off. I'm guessing that the condenser is now shot because when I turn the unit on the fan comes on but not the condenser? I've always had great water flow through the unit and keep the lines pretty clean. Just wondering if there is a breaker switch on the unit itself or something I should check before giving up and waiting until I have enough money to buy a new unit. (The unit is 26 YO original I believe) Anyone know what the warranty is on this? Still covered? ha

I believe you mean compressor vice condenser... the condenser is actually the coil through which the cooling water passes to condense the gaseous freon back to liquid state.

Anyway, check the compressor unit itself - there may be a red reset button you could press. If not, try to determine if the control panel / thermostat is calling for cool / sending its voltage to the relay that turns the compressor on. Perhaps read the voltage at the main compressor leads in order to see if one of the limit switches has interrupted the circuit (high or low pressure cutout).

You should be able to find the wiring diagrams on the cruisair site. Good luck!
