This is hilarious...

For those of you out there who are honestly exploring the idea of which system is best, I suggest you listen to those of us who have spent extensive time with both.

Im wondering if anal retentive behavior goes with holding it between marinas.

We flush and forget, no behavioral issues allowed on our boat.

Butt...

Before this thread devolved into potty talk, did anyone answer the original question? What happens when the boat is heeled way over? You see, I'm envisioning a "Johnny on the spot" sort thing tipping way over. Regarding the urine cashe... not to be confused with the turd cashe.

Re: Composting Head when heeling

On a personal level, I believe anyone who takes a dump on his or her own boat, establishes a sense of ownership over the vessel. There is NOTHING like being in a force 5, feeling exhilarated in the breeze, and then bonding with a vital system.
Whether it be into water and then flushed overboard, or into a holding tank or indeed into a pile of biodegradable matter and lightly stirred, the power play has been made.

It would be a waste of waste to not experience it.

Marinas are for woosies...........

Actually, I did provide an answer right away. "Things" line up properly and anatomically. It's not a problem under any angles of heel that one would consider going to the head. If the boat is heeling this much, then you have much bigger problems to deal with.

If I was on a mono and saw my 'thing' on a 30 degree angle, I might be worried........

Re: Composting Head when heeling

I have never laughed so much in a while. What with potty reticent people, the history of Elvis and decorum dictates regarding use of the toilet (or the prohibition of aformentioned) whilst sailing.......

Brilliant!

Not nearly as much as you would with your "thing" at 30 degrees on a Cat

Just a word to the wise, in measuring the angle, its best to not use a compass protractor in choppy seas........

I will recover.

That is how you get a Prince Albert piercing. I thought it was customary for sailors to just get their ears pierced?

Re: Composting Head when heeling

A lovely day here in the South of England. Rain and greyness.

If I were aboard my vessel I would be making coffee, cranking up the heating and taking my ablutions in the head with loud noises and satisfaction.

I would not be taking the huddled wet walk along miles of decking to the marina block to do the deed. Screw that for a game of soldiers.

I might even stir the biodegradable mixture with the handle!

No smell and no worries.

And no flies.

Re: Composting Head when heeling

When the time comes that one of the heads gives up the ghost...

I'll be putting in a composting with one mod... A way to pump the liquids over directly from the liquids tank... In the correct locations of course...
