Calling it a day
I've loved being here...but I've been online since 1993...even before there was the internet as we know it (there was CompuServe and Prodigy)...20 years is long enough to spend 2-4 hours a day answering the same questions over and over and over on sometimes as many as a dozen forums and email lists at a time. I was fortunate enough to be able to retire from actually earning a living when I sold my company to Raritan in 1999. But now, as I approach my 70th birthday, it's time to retire my keyboard and mouse from "active duty" too...to get my aft off this chair and moving before it spreads any further!
However, I will always answer emails...and I won't unsubscribe for a bit to allow anyone who wants to "harvest" my email address from profile to do so. Please feel free contact me directly and to share my email address with anyone looking for help.
Fair--and ODORLESS!--winds to you all!

Re: Calling it a day
Peg,
Thank you for your many contributions! You have certainly improved our knowledge of marine sanitation, and deserve time on the water away from a keyboard. Enjoy all of the sunshine that can be found.

Re: Calling it a day
Peggy, for the two decades we've spent together online, first at CompuServe and now here, thank you. It is rare to find someone so knowledgeable and so willing to share -- in my experience others than you seem to be one or the other. And we than you for KO and CP, still available from Defender if not from West. I'm sure, having seen you, that that was a typo in y our email and you meant to say approaching your 50th birthday. All the best to you, Hannah

Re: Calling it a day
Thanks so much for your good advice over the years. I wanted to tell about my Raritan Crown head, but was scared to uncork the genie by mentioning it. Aww shucks here goes or nothing, my head was sold in 1978, and its still going strong. (Now tomorrow it will crap-out)
We wish you all the best for whatever you are going to tackle next, sure it will be a success..

Re: Calling it a day
Thanks Peg. We are 71 and moved onto our 1st boat 2mths ago, 3 days after purchase. Thanks to the forum and 23yrs cruising experience of our neighbor Rod we have our smells and plumbing all sorted. Getting familiar with the electricals now and looking forward to a little cruising.
