Re: Bilge Pump Runs Constantly

One thing not mentioned..

After everything has been checked and rechecked, it may be that it's not the pump, float, wireing or anything. My automatic bilge pump keeps cycling on and off because the bilge is deep and water in the discharge line fails to climb high enough to go overboard before the pump switches off. Then the water slowly drains back down, through the pump and back into the bilge, reactivating the float switch again and again.
