Adler Barbour price gouging

The spillover fan in my Adler Barbour freezer/fridge burned out. After a bit of correspondence with WAECO (AB's parent company) I was referred to two dealers in Canada. One had a fan in stock. This is a small 12v fan similar to a computer fan. They wanted $45 for the fan!!! Plus shipping of course. I was shocked, to say the least. I thought I was being quoted on the fan and thermostat but was assured that this was the price for the fan only. This spurred me on to an internet search where I was finally able to buy the identical fan for $6 a piece.

I got two and I now have a couple of computer fans that'll do in a pinch.

Rick as sailors we have to be cheap... I mean frugal. I normally buy electronics from Newark Electronics. You are correct the fan should be about $6.00. (I also built my mast light with LED's and interior lights with LED's.)

I need the same fan. Where did you get it?

When you say identical, do you mean "same air flow, voltage, and mounting holes" or do you mean "same manufacturer and same part number"?
