Adler Barbour coldmachine needs R134a

Help! My Adler Barbour coldmachine needs R134a after a year of running perfectly. My fill hose is cracked and broken and I cannot seem to find a replacement locally (Florida). The one place that probably has it won't sell to me. Does anybody know exactly what to order from say amazon? I get lots of results but I am not sure what to order.

Thanks for any help.

What type of refrigerant bottle are you using?
Do NOT use automotive r134a.
All of the AB systems use a 1/4" flare connection.

Your picture shows you already have the difficult to come by ACME 134a thread to 1/4 flare refrigerant adapter So all you need is the standard 1/4 inch flare refrigerant hose used for other than automobile AC. Refrigeration part stores have these hoses but send me your address and I will send a good used hose.

Re: Adler Barbour coldmachine needs R134a

Pick up a R12 female to R134a low side fill fitting at any local auto parts store. You can then easily get refill cans of R134a with quick disconnect to fill the system. Don't over fill.

Thank you!

I received the hose Saturday evening, the freezer was showing 30 F.
I defrosted it on Sunday morning and put some more R134a in it as per your recommendations from your website, the freezer is now down to 18 F.

Many thanks,

Joe
