Accumulator tank

Our accumulator tank is taking longer and longer to fill. Its up to at least several minutes or longer. Is it the pump? Tank?
We are sailing in the Bahamas right now and want to try and solve this as quickly as possible.

We had same problem, changing pump solved the problem, but could've probably got away with changing the pressure switch on the pump

I'm with bootneck...it may well be the pressure switch on your pump. Unscrew the end cap that covers it and give it a little spray with WD40. It made a difference on mine. If that doesn't work, try turning the pressure screw on your pump so that it turns off at slightly less pressure.

...and make sure you don't have a small, inline filter that may have gotten clogged. That happened to us once.

Also, check that the fittings around the tank (tank to FW line) isn't leaking...had that problem for a while. Not only does it take longer to pressurize, it will cause your pump to cycle on and off more frequently.

After that problem, the rubber membrane inside the accumulator finally let go, so we were just pressurizing the tank itself.
