Re: 2007 Proline 29Express vacuflush problem

The OP has the low profile Dometic / Sealand VG3 Vacuum Generator, not the previously linked VG2 Vacuum Generator.

VG2

Re: 2007 Proline 29Express vacuflush problem

Even after 30 years I continue to learn something new every day! I had not seen the VG3 nor any reference to it before, and I've talked with a lot of VF owners! Thanks for posting it...I'll add it to my files.

If space saving was the reason for combining the vac tank and pump into a compact "generator," the VG3 doesn't appear to be any improvement on the original separate vac tank and pump that could spaced far enough apart to provide easy access to 'em. Is it still in production, or one of those things seemed like a good idea but turned out not to be?

The VG3 is also called the VGLP and is still available for purchase.

The VG4 appears to be a more robust system and is also "low" profile and should be a better choice for new / upgrade systems.

Re: 2007 Proline 29Express vacuflush problem

Here is the Dometic VG4 Vacuum Generator and here is the VG4 Manual.

The other Vacuflush umph options (before getting into the massive systems) are the S Vacuum Pump with W Motor w/ Manual and the Dometic VT Tank.

Re: 2007 Proline 29Express vacuflush problem

Thanks! I've bookmarked the VG4 page...I already have the S Pump and VT info. Fwiw, I was a VF dealer from 1989-1998 and VF was the toilet on my last two boats. SL introduced VGs shortly before I sold my company and retired, and I haven't kept up as well as I should have with the different VG versions.

I do appreciate your willingness to update me on the "improvements" in 'em.
