What type of shaft seal do I have?

I've gotten pretty familiar with all my boat systems since I bought her in 2017, but I realized that I don't know much about the shaft seals (I have two of them). They seem to work fine, no leakage whatsoever, and when turning, there is a stream of water that pees from a small opening in the hull well above the waterline. I don't know how old they are, but they appear to be in good shape. Is there any preventive maintenance I should be doing?
