Replacement Propeller

We removed the propeller from our Jeanneau 40 to have it repitched at Scandia in Ma. They have told us the prop is damaged by electrolysis (prior owner) and has to be replaced. They say it has a thud and not a ring. The issue is the Jeanneau has a 30 mm shaft and they are having trouble finding a replacement. Dose anyone know a suppler in the US for metric propellers. Jeanneau describes it as a E13 17x10 RH

Thanks Peter

Check with Beneteau USA. Many of their boats have 30mm shafts. Call Ward Richardson at 843 629 5320.

I have been able to order metric propellers from Michigan Wheel. We actually order through General Propeller who are one of their distributors. As the prop will be specially made for you it will take about 4 to 6 weeks to arrive. Speak to Larry Thompson on 800 282 3181.
Regards, Stanley

If your planning on keeping the boat in the US I would consider having a machine shop turn the shaft itself to fit standard sized american props so next time you won't have any problem. It's easy to do. Just a thought.

Try contacting H&H Propeller (H & H Propeller :: CUSTOM PROPS :: DRIVELINES :: STAINLESS FABRICATION :: ISO COMPLIANT ::) in Salem, MA or Deep Blue Yacht Supply (Boat Propellers, Inboard Propellers, Cutlass Bearings, Zinc Anodes, Boat Shafts, Shaft Seals and so much more...) in cyberspace.
