Propeller Storage

I just replaced my 21 inch propellers and plan to store the old ones as spares. I'm concerned that I need some sort of packaging to keep them from damaging the lazarette in rough seas but can find nothing online. How do you store your spare props?

Re: Propeller Storage

Before I took them off the boat, my spare props were sitting on foam and held down with bungee cords. That way they couldn't move and the foam prevented them from damaging the surface they sat on.

Re: Propeller Storage

If I had a spare on the "big boat" it would be strapped to a bulkhead. On the "little boat" I keep it in a cloth bag.

Re: Propeller Storage

The only ones I’ve seen have been mechanically fastened to bulkheads. Safe and secure till needed. On a small boat the storage possibilities are endless as the amount of damage a light prop can do is negligible.
