Prop Shaft Shop - Vancouver bc

A few years ago I heard that there was a specialist machine shop in Vancouver bc that would make up new prop shafts in about three days.

Does anyone know whether they are still in business and if so the contact details

Thx

There is a great machine shop down who's name escapes me. Over by Western Marine(drive north on Clark until it dead ends, on 1 st I think. turn right at the end of Clark and it will be almost immediately on your right, green awnings, before Western.) They machine all our prop shafts and couplings and make new keys for us(3"dia is biggest I've personally taken to them).

I'm not sure if they produce on site, we usually buy shaft out of the us. If they don't, they'll know who in town would.

Lovely shop set up, I'd love to have some of their toys!
Edit: quick turn around too, 2-3 days normal for us though at this time of year you might have a bit of a wait.

Awesome Sorry I couldn't remember the name, silly since we drive there often. Were they able to help you get what you needed?

Try Dafoe V M Machine Shop

I have also used Wallace on Venables. It was some years ago though so don't know what they are like now.

VM Dafoe, they will make up a new shaft and coupling in a week.

Ive just had a new custom shaft made. Price for the shaft (1.25" and 48") was $700 inc taxes

Hope it helps

Thanks, that helps.

Also to know how much it cost for a different but similar shaft.
