New Prop, Shaft . . . Nylon Reducer ?

Due to some really really lousy customer service by 2 different vendors , I'm in need of a new shaft and prop for Berzerker. The outfit I'm buying them offers a nylon reducer to match prop and shaft...got me wonderin' if I intentionally ordered them, say 1/8 inch off from each other and used the reducer if that would help with corrosion protection. It's like $10, so it wouldn't hurt, right? The shaft is stainless alloy and the prop would either be manganese bronze or Nebral.

The reducer fits the taper on the shaft. The nut still makes contact. At least, it did on my old C&C., Curious-why would you want to isolate the prop?

Thanks for the reply. Just thought I'd eliminate/reduce the need for zincs in that area.

Isolating your prop from the protection of the shaft zincs doesn't eliminate or the need for zincs, it increases the likelihood that your prop will suffer corrosion.

If you are buying a new prop and shaft, wouldn't you just specify the same taper on both prop and shaft? Why would you even need a reducer?
