Island packet 42 bow thruster

Anyone any experience with the bow thruster cutting out after only 20 seconds of operation, thruster fitted by Island Packet as cable sizing as per manufacturer spec

Who made the thruster, and have you measured the voltage at the terminals as well as the current draw and motor temperature at time of **** down?

That's a long time of usage for a thruster. You are likely hitting the thermal switch limit.

Use the thruster in short spurts.
Use the rudder to steer the boat.
