Help identifying Helm Pump

I think I may need to rebuild the helm pump on my new to me Ta Chiao 56. I can't find any manufacturer's info on the pump. Any help? Apologies if this should be in a different sub-forum.
Thanks on advance!Click image for larger version

The CT-56 a marvelous and rare boat.

Suggest that you post a similar inquiry to the Leaky Teaky Yacht Club to solicit their knowledge. And become a member if you are not already one.

Please post pictures of your vessel, many would enjoy seeing more of her.

All the best.

Re: Help identifying Helm Pump

Thank you, I will post pics eventually. I have been in the LTYC for a few months, and I did post the query there, as well.

That looks like a Lecomble and Schmitt helm pump to me.

Re: Help identifying Helm Pump

Hard to tell from only one photo, but could be a Wagner B3-B4 helm pump. Would be good to pull it out to look for identifiers usually stamped on the side the casing.
Jastram Engineering (out of BC) handles all the Wagner parts.
Send them more pics and I'm certain they can tell you if it is one their pumps.

I was going to say the same: looks like my Wagner helm pumps.

2nd the advice to contact Jastram. They know all about Wagner hydraulics.

Thanks, it is, in fact a Wagner B4. I filled it and bled the system, now waiting to see if there are any slow leaks.

Awesome. Hopefully Keenan (at Jastram) was helpful. There still should be rebuilt kits for that pump.

Nice, hopefully it fixes up well and you take better care of it than the previous owner. Too bad it has those tacky sail graphics.

Well... Yes, it's a work in progress. We're on the hard, taking care of a pretty good to-do list. A few days ago, on a rare semi-calm morning, we started on the Genoa, and got the graphics off it pretty cleanly, just need to clean up some traces of adhesive. The main and mizzen may have to wait for a while.

All the work will be worth it, she's a beautiful boat!

Oh, that's great! I didn't even think those could be removed. Good luck with everything. Maybe start a renovation thread and post some pictures.

The big puppy pirate face on the genoa was printed on super lightweight fabric and glued on, we were able to pull it off without even using a heat gun. I believe the dogs on the main and mizzen are vinyl, and if so will also be easily removed.

I hadn't thought about starting a thread on the process, but why not? I'll have to remember to take more before, during and after pictures, going forward.
